Orange Community Education & Recreation is one of our cooperative partners that offer adaptive recreation programs and resources that we highly recommend, cross-promote and collaborate for programming.

The listed activities are designed especially for individuals with physical, sensory or developmental disabilities. People of all abilities are welcome.


Brownie Bakers
Ooey, gooey, fudgy and delicious: brownies! Following a basic recipe, you’ll concoct your own spectacular brownies with your choice of add-ons: m & m’s, peanut butter or sprinkles! While the brownies are baking, we’ll decorate our own aprons to take home for future baking projects.

Reservations for 2 - Thanksgiving Dinner
Create a special memory sharing an intimate Thanksgiving meal with your favorite family member or friend. We’ll set up the room just like a restaurant and serve you and your loved one all of your favorite Thanksgiving fixins’. Participants are permitted to bring only one guest please.

Holiday Gift Creators
Bring on the holiday spirit! Create a beautiful holiday gift for that special someone in your life. This hands-on craft class includes simple instruction to help you to create a hand-painted gift, complete with a personalized gift bag or box.

Broadway Bound Buddies Adaptive Musical Theatre Studio
Immerse yourself in performance as you follow your passion for the arts. Each STAR will work one on one with theatre professionals in private coaching sessions. This program produces a video workshop presentation. A group number of all STARS and BUDDIES participating will perform a popular Broadway tune with original staging and choreography. Each STAR will also choose their own favorite Broadway musical to perform an adapted monologue from their choice of scenes, dress up as that specific role and sing a portion of that character's song. This program is a forever keepsake to be shared with family and friends.

*With grant funding from Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, we are able to offer reduced registration fees for adult Bedford residents who register for our cooperative partners for 2022.
