UH Cooking Class for Seniors
Join the UH Community Wellness Center & Chef April Thompson, for an engaging and supportive class designed to help seniors explore fresh, practical, and enjoyable approaches to healthy eating. Together, we’ll promote good nutrition while introducing new and creative ways to provide nourishment that supports both body and mind. Seniors will discover strategies to maintain independence at mealtime, reduce cooking and prep time, and make the most of “non-traditional” pantry items and community food resources. We’ll also explore the role of herbal supplements and vitamins in supporting overall wellness. This class offers not just recipes and techniques, but confidence, empowerment, and a refreshing perspective on mealtime. Featuring menu: Brussel Sprout Winter Salad with Clementine dressing.
